The Cancer and Bone Society (CABS) has recently merged with the International Bone and Mineral Society (IBMS). This merger will allows IBMS to pursue a broader reaching cancer and bone agenda and execute the CABS mission. IBMS is excited to be partnering with CABS as we continue to fulfill our mission by growing our portfolio of specialized meetings around the world, as well as holding joint meetings with major local or regional societies.

IBMS wants to fully embrace the thought leadership, standing and intellectual capital of CABS. In order to represent CABS and their mission to the fullest after the merger, numerous initiatives have been set up.

• A CABS Advisory Committee will convene to advise on IBMS programming to ensure that cancer and bone is always represented.
• IBMS will create a BoneKEy Cancer and Bone Associate Editor position to cover anything newsworthy related to cancers and cancer treatments on bone and mineral homeostasis.
• IBMS shall create a yearly fellowship related to cancers and cancer treatments on bone and mineral homeostasis.
