Venue

The workshop will be held at the Congress Center in Davos Platz, Switzerland. Davos is nestled in the mountains of Graubünden and can be reached by a 3 hour train ride or 2 hour drive from Zurich. Davos is well-known for its skiing, both alpine (Parsenn) and cross-country, and other winter sports facilities which should all be excellent at the time of the workshop. 

Travel information

Zurich Airport is the nearest airport to Davos. The best way to get from the airport to the Venue is to take the train to Davos Platz. The train leaves hourly from the Swiss Railway station within the airport. Train tickets can be purchased at the counters of the Swiss Railways located just above the platform for the trains.  Please find information about the Swiss Railways at .

You must purchase a ticket before boarding the train, but you need not reserve a seat.  It is a 3 hour train ride. You will have to change trains twice, first in Zurich HB (main station) change for Landquart, and in Landquart, change again for Davos Platz (see timetable ).   In Switzerland, return tickets are valid for two weeks and are less expensive than two single fares (CHF 106 in 2nd class and CHF 176 in 1st class).

You may also hire a car at the airport and drive to Davos; it is a 2 hour drive. Davos is in the mountains, and at the time of the congress, the roads may still be covered with snow or ice.

The third possibility is to hire a taxi (or a small van for several people). The price is approx. CHF 620 for one way. If you would like to choose this option, please contact the local organizer.
